Job Description

We are currently looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our IT Department on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the financial strength and strategic direction of one of the UK’s leading cultural institutions. Sitting within our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, this role provides a critical link between Finance and our Development and Audiences teams, including Visitor Experience, Ticketing, Membership, and Marketing & Communications.

Our mission is to enable strong, informed decision-making through accurate, timely, and insightful financial analysis. We work collaboratively across Southbank Centre, ensuring financial accountability, supporting long-term planning, and helping teams manage risk with clarity and confidence.

As Finance Business Partner, you’ll play a key role in supporting and challenging stakeholders, offering expert insight into both day-to-day and strategic financial matters. You’ll contribute to building robust budgets, improving forecasting processes, and providing meaningful reporting that supports data-led decisions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building strong, collaborative relationships with Directors, Heads of Department and budget holders
  • Delivering monthly management accounts and relevant KPIs, with accurate commentary and forecasting
  • Supporting teams through annual budgeting and long-term financial planning
  • Identifying and communicating key risks, variances, and opportunities
  • Helping to improve financial reporting and processes using new systems and tools

Skills and experience that would help you succeed in this role:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified/ finalist (essential)
  • Strong grasp of core accounting principles, including confidence with accruals and journal entry
  • Experience working with finance systems and reporting tools, plus strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
  • An interest in using data and technology to support better decision-making (e.g. Power BI)
  • A clear communicator who enjoys working in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders
