Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Visitor Experience Manager to join our Visitor Experience and Ticketing department on a fixed term, full time basis.

This is a senior role in the department, with a focus on coordinating and leading the visitor experience elements of large scale performance events and ticketed immersive exhibitions. This role will focus on the visitor experience and operational aspects of commercial hires, graduations, film premieres, award ceremonies, contemporary music, outdoor stage, and family experiences. There will also be an expectation to regularly act as Duty Manager (training provided). In addition there will be line management responsibilities of other managers.

Management: experience of managing a professional team of managers in an events / live performance environment

Leadership: evidence of strong senior leadership skills with the ability to inspire and influence staff across the team and wider organisation.

Delivery planning: evidence of the successful design and implementation of project plans, from analysis of the issue, setting of clear objectives through to cross departmental implementation.

Communication skills: Strong evidence of excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Visitor focus: evidence of a commitment to putting the visitor at the heart of service delivery.

Professionalism: the ability to demonstrate and promote high standards and a professional manner and appearance.

Financial management: experience of effective budget management.

Managing multiple priorities: experience of successfully delivering multiple projects simultaneously.

Is able to demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the role that diversity and inclusion play in the activities of the Southbank Centre as a whole and in the work of this particular job.
